Vibrotone - cellulite reduction therapy

Cellulite is often described as 'orange peel' or dimpled skin and plagues over 80% of women. Even women who diet, exercise and maintain a healthy weight are not immune to its disfiguring effects. VibroTone is a treatment that delivers cycloidal vibration to the skin tissue. It is a unique massage that delivers gentle stimulation in 3 planes all at the same time; horizontal, vertical & circular over light clothing.

The combination provides a gentle but penetrating massage that has many therapeutic effects for skin tissue.

Cycloidal vibration has been clinically proven to increase blood flow and micro-circulation, increase lymphatic drainage, reduce swelling and venous tension, and reduce/soften fibrotic tissue. It is now used for the treatment of cellulite.

Who can receive treatment?
Virtually everybody can receive the treatment. Some health and medical conditions dictate that the treatment is avoided but this is rare. These will be discussed at your initial consultation.

Is it painful?
This is a personalised treatment adapted to the skin sensitivity of each patient and is not painful. Many describe it as being like a relaxing non-invasive body massage, with an amazing stress-lowering effect. So - just relax and enjoy!

Does it help you lose weight?
Vibrotone acts on the cellulite as well as on the quality and appearance of the skin; this may be accompanied by some weight loss.

Has the effectiveness of the method been tested?
Cycloidal vibration therapy has traditionally been used in hospitals to treat lymphoedemas and leg ulcers. For the treatment of cellulite, the results obtained by Vibrotone have been assessed and confirmed by a clinical study carried out by Dr E Dancey and author of the book "The Cellulite Solution". The Vibrotone consumer trial results were presented at the: 26th National Congress of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgical Dermatology 28th - 29th October 2005 in Paris.

How long is a session and what happens?
At your first session, the treatment will be explained to you and a personalised treatment plan will be developed for you by our doctor. After that, each treatment session lasts for around 30 minutes at a rate of 1 session per week for maximum benefit.

What do I wear for the treatment?
Unlike the model in the picture shown above you do not actually have to bare your skin and can spare your modesty. During the treatment we ask that you wear close fitting leggings or ideally coloured tights. You are able to change into these in the clinic before treatment. The treatment module does not actually directly touch your skin.

How many treatments will I need?
This does vary but a full course of treatment normally consists of 6 to 8 sessions for sustainable results. We do have a special offer pack of 'buy 8 sessions and receive a 9th free'.

Is treatment permanent?
No. It is an effective way to reduce the appearance of cellulite and improve the appearance of the skin and a course of treatment will provide best results, with top up treatments recommended to maintain it. We also give you diet and mild exercise advice to help improve and maintain your results.

What does the home use treatment consist of?
If you choose the home use treatment, it consists of a Vibrotone massage pad designed to be safely used in your home for at least 30 minutes per day. The pad comes with a carrying case for storage and easy transportation.
The massage pad is rented to you on a monthly basis and can be used to support your clinic treatment for maximum results or as a stand-alone option.
